International Observe the Moon Night – Educator Telescope Workshop

October 14, 2021 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Mark your calendar Oct. 16th, 2021 and remember to celebrate by getting out and observing this magnificent celestial object or taking a little bit of time to learn something new about the Moon.

Here are just a few ways that you can get involved this year:

1.  Each year I offer a 3 hour Viewing the Universe with Telescopes Workshop at the NASA IV&V ERC that certifies you to borrow a set of 12 telescopes to use with your group for 2 weeks at a time. I am continuing this “IOtMN” tradition with the training at Fairmont State University on Thursday. Oct. 14th from 6p.m. -9p.m. Any adult who works with children or in education may register here<>!
2.  Explore Earth’s Moon with NASA’s Solar System Exploration<>
3.  Browse the Moon’s cratered surface, the Apollo Landing sites, or elevation maps with Google Moon<>
4.  Download the FREE software known as Virtual Moon Atlas Pro 6<> and observe from the comfort of your living room or cozy office of choice!

Also, two great space places in West Virginia, and see what they are offering. Both have Facebook pages and great people who will be happy to talk with you.
