The NASA West Virginia Space Grant Consortium is offering fellowships for undergraduate students who desire a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) related programs and are interested in working on a research project under the supervision of a faculty member who will act as their research advisor. These undergraduate affiliate fellowships are awarded by the applicant’s college or university. A faculty member from your department must endorse the project and agree to serve as your research advisor. The amount awarded varies from each institution. Applicants for these fellowships must be full-time undergraduate students of US citizenship. Underrepresented and minority students are strongly encouraged to apply. Please contact your institution’s representative to inquire about the amount of these fellowships. (WVU fellowships are for $1,000.00 and paid directly to the student as a scholarship-if this will negatively impact your financial aid and for any questions, please contact Ms. Candy Cordwell)
Please upload a summary of the research project that you will be conducting. This description should include but is not limited to a description of the research, whether it is a new or continuing project, and the significance and/or uniqueness of the research, and budget. If the research is a team project, applicants must clearly indicate the tasks to be completed by each team member(s) and list their work percentage on the project. Submissions should be no more than two (2) single-spaced pages in font size 12, one-inch margins and Times New Roman font.
You must identify and align your proposal with one of the four NASA Mission Directorates (Aeronautics Research, Human Exploration & Operations, Science, and Space Technology). The full list of NASA Mission Directorates and Center Alignment can be found here.
